3 Position lift chairs operate like standard recliners. The footrest raises as the backrest reclines. Lift chair recliners also lift you to a nearly standing position or as high as you wish for ease in getting up.
Infinite position lift chairs allow you to adjust the footrest and back independently. You can put yourself in any position including zero-gravity and trendelenburg on many models. Most will lie nearly flat for sleeping.
Heavy Duty or Bariatric lift chairs are rated from 400-700lbs depending on model. All will lift you up. The most robust models have three motors – one for the back and two for lifting up.
